Waiting for a solar eclipse to start the rebellion is pure cinematic genius! Nat really saw the sun vanish and said 'bet, it's go time'!! That is some serious main character energy right there.

I don't buy the eclipse theory. You don't need a sign from God to fight back against that kind of brutality. Gray probably cooked that up to make Turner look insane so the locals could sleep better.
